Obviously if a Dual Flight we did not do the rear switches
I guess the actual wording may have varied at different units (I was at Abingdon 1980-83)
Pilot: Fuel On Brakes On Throttle Closed Switches Off.
Groundcrew: Breech Inserted Cowling Secure Rear Switches On Clear To Start
Pilot: Contact (and advances throttle circa half an inch)
Groundcrew: Contact
Pilot: Crosses fingers and pulls the golf ball attached to the string which pulls the trigger which fires the cartridge which starts the engine
