That makes sense, but is the VH-8XX for everything or just certain types/class of aircraft ? Perhaps the ones I've seen just happened to be civ/mil hybrids.
I've expected over time the Canadians to run out as well.
I remember when they went from CF-XXX to C-FXXX and then C-GXXX some years back due to running out of possible regs. Funny that that is sort of running out now.
