They intend to use a chunk of the money to promote safety in helicopters especially self sealing fuel tanks, which they believe would have saved many lives in the crash.
The company involved have already converted their whole fleet to crash resistant fuel tanks, as have most others in the canyon, and all new aircraft delivered have the new tanks already.
