Training in the US or Canada followed by EASA conversion in Europe.
It is possible to do FAA + conversion for less then EASA only.
You get significant reduction of EASA training requirements when you hold an ICAO CPL or ATPL.
I could consider it, however my two concerns with this option would be that it seems like landing a job with a European airline is not that easy if you don’t have prior airline experience (unless you shell out a lot of cash for their mentored schemes), and being the son of a hardcore nationalist who essentially considers that emigrating for any reason whatsoever is shameful (except for studying, for some reason) facing job insecurity while abroad scares me. I’d love to get some insights on people’s experiences while applying for their first pilot job in Europe, that could make me consider this option too.

Thanks a lot for your answer!
