It seems to me that Bush is like a little kid sometimes, inviting everyone to Mars and handing the considerations of cost and physics to someone else. It's the most laughable re-election bid I've ever heard.
Surely that's what elected officials do the world over. Question is more what advice was he given by his staff (NASA presumably) before making that committment?
