You're missing a trick here, and not thinking big enough. Given the projected congestion next year at Dover and the Channel Tunnel with the new EU entry system, there's bound to be a lot of demand for a car ferry service which could operate from say Lydd to le Touquet. Go for it and snatch those cheap A380s from under Asquith's nose.
Sorry - I've already got an option on them . I'm converting them into bedsits internally and will drive them slowly around old airfields - thus avoiding the need for planning permission for new houses.and the approval of Mr Gove
