Of course you get what you pay for. And last time I checked, you also get to choose where you spend your money.
It's just a childish carry-on to be wailing about the prices that one airline charges (and bear in mind that when you pull up a booking page, you're looking at the fares that
haven't sold yet, not the ones that have). That is particularly so when there are two other (and in some cases, three or four other) airlines servicing the route. QF couldn't charge what they do and maintain market share if people weren't choosing to fly with them.
