If you could put your near pathological animosity towards QF aside for just a moment, you might realise that, like them or hate them, currently they are the tall pole in the pay scales tent.
You get what you pay for - Now think of that from a pax perspective!
I reluctantly fly Q as I get about the same with J or V for much much less - high pay scales will mean zip when less and less will fly them.
My flights with Q are about 5 in the last 6 years - J & V got the remaining 20+ odd flights.
Go back a decade or so and 95% of my flights were with Q.
