Melnish, what you are saying really baffles me and i'm sure many of the unhappy crew are too.
Try telling ALL those terminated and demoted hard-working and dedicated crew and f/deck crew who have been s**t on by Al Baker! The Australian CSD who was terminated for serving alcohol to POSITIONING f/deck crew,not in uniform and who insisted to the CSD to serve alcohol was fired without question - poor man came to Qatar to start all over again after losing his job with an Australian carrier - his mother was also sadly killed in the Bali bombing too and that "man" AAB should lower his head in shame.
There's no doubt that QR have a terrible reputation and it's such a shame really as many people from around the world would like to work for QR but not under a dictatorship. This is exactly why people are leaving faster than they can recruit - tell someone about QR in europe and they will praise you for sticking with such an awful airline.
For the posting about westerners in QR - they simply do not last because of the harsh environment under AAB rule. The safety manual was written by a dedicated Irish lady, she too was s**t on by AAB 's puppet.
