The Fins were, apart from Swedish volunteers, basically on their own when fighting the Soviet Union. The outcome was a forgone conclusion.
Ukrainian human resources are certainly limited. On the other hand, the West hasn't even tried to out manufacture Russia and give Ukraine all it needs. Contrary to popular believe, Russian resources are not endless.
