What would yous do?
Ive not had a lesson with the flying club ive opted for yet, alls been cancelled Due to Weather.
At the same time ive had a bloke contact me back that id contacted before i went to tayside regarding flying training at Glasgow International, He owns a tomahawk and offers really cheap rates around £70 per hr wet rate at Glasgow, with instructer and landing fee this is £100 per hr, i currently pay £110 per hr with instructer at Fife in the 152, but get free landings unlimited landings on a 700meter runway.
Glasgow as you know it has a whole lot of systems, controlled airspace etc.
I do want to take my flying further to CPL/ATPL level in the future, am i best to learn in a commerical orientated enviroment such as glasgow with the full ATC services, than opposed to Fife with the Air/Ground radio?
It will basicially work out a little bit cheaper at Glasgow, circuit work can be done at Glasgow but intructers normally go over to fields such as cumbernauld/prestwick to do circuits wheres its cheaper landing rates.
Just need some advice, what would yous do? I have 2 lessons booked this weekend at Fife, and im thinking of cancelling them and taking up the offer at Glasgow!
I recon that with the ATC service, that the training will be more suited to me.
The question is:
What would most of yous do ?
