If the council wants to end poverty then it needs to stop promoting the airport, as it is a source of low paid jobs. Do a job search and find the long list of jobs paying around £11 an hour.
The jobs to be created are basically terminal, apron and car parking jobs, all of which are in the main rock bottom payers. As for Robin Porter, he failed to mention that there is such a thing as in-work poverty and that the airport is the major source of in-work poverty in the town. The airport and the Council need to keep the poverty struck poor so the airport remains competitive.
