I live S.W. of LTN (about 28km / 17m) and hear:
LHR: traffic departing and arriving (time of day) and Bovingdon hold.
LTN: Mostly arriving, especially late night
STN: Occaisionally
BHX: Occaisionally
Sometimes (atmospherics dependent) high overhead to Europe with an early let down.
I used to live closer to LTN and, before that, Shepherds Bush and the approach to LHR.
Never made a complaint in my life as I have used LHR for 57 years and LTN for 39. Both airports existed before I moved into their area.
