Is the 757 significantly quieter that people don't notice those ones?
Are they hearing FedEx, UPS & West Atlantic traffic departing STN and assuming it's Luton traffic?
Think this is the crux of the matter.
Personally I would like to see a breakdown of the complaints by time of day, Airline( if Luton based), where the complainant lives etc etc.
I live currently in Northampton and even a couple of Ryanair 737-8s going into BHX at times can be noisy( out of the norm) probably due to atmospherics . Easy to check on one of the sites.
Maybe the Airport could publish this info, leaving out the personal data, would make for a interesting read.
