The name came from Wendy Devereaux an air traffic controller late last century. She moved on and I don't recall what happened to her. There was also a :"Lovey" and ":Paula" both ladies worked in the back office and I am sure there were some others but my memory is fast fading due to my advanced years. IIRC Wendy was quite the character on the Oceanic Sector at Sydney AACC in the late eighties
