I think some people should get some sense of reality here (I know we are talking about the UK here). There has been an unfortunate fire at a major airport with nobody killed but a large number of motor vehicles damaged or destroyed. Vehicles can be replaced (I know some owners think it is there pride and joy) but after all it is a piece of metal and can be replaced where human beings cannot.
I dread to think how people today would deal with the Cuban crisis of 1962 when everybody was about to be blown up. What did we do - we just got in with our lives and hoped common sense would prevail and it did.
As four of my compatriots once said 'the younguns today would never believe you'.

How long are adverts going to take to appear on radio along the lines of "was your car in the car park at Luton airport? Did you have your holiday disrupted? You may be due compensation etc etc"?
Thankfully no lives were lost.
