I think some people should get some sense of reality here (I know we are talking about the UK here). There has been an unfortunate fire at a major airport with nobody killed but a large number of motor vehicles damaged or destroyed. Vehicles can be replaced (I know some owners think it is there pride and joy) but after all it is a piece of metal and can be replaced where human beings cannot.
I dread to think how people today would deal with the Cuban crisis of 1962 when everybody was about to be blown up. What did we do - we just got in with our lives and hoped common sense would prevail and it did.
As four of my compatriots once said 'the younguns today would never believe you'.
