I try to look after passengers on the Bedford to Bletchley railway line. We have had rail replacement coaches for 11 month taking 2-3 times as long as trains but normal fares are being charged. We have asked for low platform buses but been told none available.
So what in airport are doing is in line with current practice elsewhere.
Got to agree, on railways when engineering work takes place over Christmas and replacement bus services put on which makes travel inconvenient, nobody jumps up and asks for refund.
Contract is to get you from A to B only.
