Each embarked squadron have their own groundcrew who look after the jets in the hangar and on the flight deck. There are also dedicated flight deck crews who move and launch aircraft irrespective of squadron.

That does seem to mean there's a lot of duplication and additional people onboard, but I'm not surprised!
