So who is liable for the loss of a multi-story car park and its contents, the car owner or the airport? If it is the driver I would imagine his or her premium will go up next year with maybe a £50m insurance bill.
The cars that are undamaged might be irretrievable so writing off the entire contents of the car park. Maybe around 1000 cars?
