More slots more aircraf, hence the possible large order. By the middle of the next decade the A380 days will certainly be nearing their end.

6 x daily A380 to LHR could easily be replaced by 8 x daily A350-1000. 3 x daily A380 LGW could easily be replaced by 5 x A350-1000, same more or less with MAN and other airports that see multiple daily A380 flights. Emirates could find a way of obtaining more slots and using aircraft such as the A350-1000 to maintain capacity without a loss of seats.

Of course there's also the much delayed B777X that's "due to enter" service for Emirates in 2025. Boeing have stated that sometime during 2025 it will enter service. But it's been a long haul for Boeing to get the aircraft certified.

A large aircraft order as outlined by the author of this thread is quite feasible. Having more fflights with more aircraft to maintain capacity without the A380 is more than likely the future outcome for Emirates. We all love the A380 but it's day's will surely be numbered by the middle of the next decade.
