I've just remembered that Golden Nugget Airlines flew one between Bournemouth and Guernsey carrying tomatoes around 1975, due to a dock worker's strike.
They would do 4 or 5 trips a day. Air Bridge Argosies were also used.
Golden Nugget were the Alaska International aircraft - all their fleet carried the name. Trying to recall if I saw one of their Hercs at Gatwick, for some reason the regs ring a bell though I can't recall the image.
