About 70 people attended, many of them relatives and ex 48 Sqn members, the very moving Service of Commemoration yesterday at Lyneham Church.
Act of Remembrance
Let us remember before God,
and commend to his sure keeping:
those who have died for their country in conflict;
those whom we knew, and whose memory we treasure;
and all who have lived and died in the service of humanity.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.
