By full medical coverage what are you expecting, boob jobs? I was talking to a guy who was comparing the money and benefits between working for Ryanair and working for Emirates, thinking they're almost the same when they're just not.
About spending time with the crew on layovers. Of course things have changed. Back then we had no social media or smartphones and everybody used to do stuff together, full crew. Yes things have changed but it doesn't mean that in the nicer layovers you won't find at least 3 or 4 colleagues willing to join you to go out. If that's not happening to you I'm sorry.
