The Tornado GR4 in the hangar is a replacement gate guardian to replace the GR1A

That Mk21 Spitfire was delivered to 1(F) Sqn in mid 1944 and has somehow stayed in the Sqn's possession since it was retired in about 1955. Another Mk21 from the same batch is on display at Kelvingrove museum in Glasgow.
