Remember that in Alternate Law, pitch control on an ILS is pretty much like Normal Law. Roll control is Direct Law. Pitch control degrades to Direct Law when the gear is selected down. So, once the gear is down, both pitch and roll are in Direct Law.

So, before gear down, you will have auto-trim in pitch You can set the attitude where you want it and then try not to make any pitch inputs. In roll, there is no bank angle hold, so try not to over-control and when you release the roll input, make sure the wings are level.

Once the gear is down, a similar technique applies to pitch control. Try not to over-control and use the trim wheel as required.

Try to sort out one axis at a time. Keep heading corrections small and maybe try 5 degree increments, using 10 degrees of bank.

Similarly, keep pitch corrections small, using 1 degree increments at a time.

It’s not easy and requires practice. Good luck!
