Cheaper to move formed units by bus to Brize by bus. Been that way for 20 years. The flight to Akrotiri was not just for the Lossiemouth personnel. It would be carrying the usual mixture of service personnel, civilian employees and families travelling from all over the country. It's hardly going to fly around the UK picking up passengers like a bus before heading to Cyprus.
