Interesting news this was on the cards for sometime.
Even more interesting EMA is not in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire. It lies in NW Leciestershire and has a Derby DE postcode, quite a triangle in the heart of the East Midlands!
In the early days EMA marketed itself close to Sheffield as well!
As mentioned before, Tollerton (Nottingham Airport) I hope shouldnt cause any confusion. Lets see if we get any cargo charter flights lining up for finals to land at the wrong "Nottingham".
The folk of Leicestershire & Derbyshire not so happy about this as it has a Nottingham name, local rivalry between us Midlanders always goes on. Maybe something more appropriate should have been chosen to keep the peace?
Folks will be "upin arms now becoz of this.
