Odd experience upon arriving into Luton this week, I headed to the drop off zone to wait for my pre-booked Taxi, only to be accosted by a gentleman insisting I follow him and he’ll sort me out a Taxi at a better price than what I was paying. I was with my elderly parents so really just wanted to get them home but the guy was quite insistent that I go with him, spending nearly 10 minutes trying to convince me that he can get me a cheaper and better service, even telling me to go to a different area from where my driver was telling me to wait. He had an ID badge but it was turned over and if I’m honest, I was too tired from my flight to have an argument with him but I can imagine non-UK residents following him assuming he’s a legit airport worker. I guess my question is, do I report him to the airport? I have his reg number if the airport need it but I suspect nothing will be done?
