Would you expect the Tory party or worse, the Lib Dems to do anything different? The Tories probably would’ve sold the airport off to the highest bidder years ago. If the Libs were in charge, the airport would be lingering around the 10M level and 1000s of people wouldn’t have jobs right now.
I suppose that for any situation you could always hypothesise that it could be worse so on that basis I guess we should accept everything, after all it could be worse, if only in our imaginations.
