They would indeed be sensible if it wasn't for the fact that it is this Government over the last 13 years that has steadily stripped away from the Army the vast majority of the supporting equipment that enables the infantry to do its job; Main Battle Tanks, Infantry Fighting Vehicles, Artillery, Air Defence etc etc etc, all in an insane desperate quest to preserve Infantry Cap Badges to placate the Tory far right.
I did get the sense from Wallace in the House yesterday that he regrets what has happened to the Army under his watch, but he is still culpable for some decisions that are simply unfathomable. (Ajax, Warrior CSP, Ch3 reductions).
