the term "Fat Albert" has been used generically for some time applied to aircraft that appear "stout". C-130s, C-17s, C-5s, etc. In fact I've even seen it applied to the early 737s! In the case of the Blue Angels, their particular C-130 has specifically been referred to as "Fat Albert" by the team since they got their first one in 1970,

A trivia question for those under 30: Where did the term "Fat Albert" come from? No fair using Google.
