That is the key point. You have to sacrifice the short term for the long term. I remember talking to a guy once who worked in a ground role for an airline. He was maybe 18-19 and asked for to become a pilot. I asked if he or his family had £50-75k sitting around and he said no. I said in that case it'll take you 3-4 years if you do exactly what I say: Keep this job, get a weekend job and deliver pizza in the evenings. Give up your social life. Sell your car, don't drink, smoke or get anyone pregnant. In short you have to eat, sleep and earn money. Build your credit score and write-off 2 years of your life. Then you'll have enough to pay for half of your flight training and should be able to borrow the rest. You're driving an Astra right now. In 10 years you'll be driving an Astra...
