Low, I would imagine the principle applies not only to pilots but all potential recruits and would extend to their entire careers. Limited by skin colour. I think Wigston did a lot of damage. I would never encourage my children to join up. Why join an organisation when you have the inherent disadvantage of being straight white and male?
I hear rumours that Wiggy sent back honours and awards citations for 2023 with “not enough females and not enough ethnic minorities”. You only need to look at the names, to see that those 2 groups have been over-represented compared to the
actual ethnic and sex make up of the RAF. Even the profiles that were publicised were completely non-representative:

Just a reminder, in 2022 the RAF was 15.4% female and 3.5% from ethnic minority backgrounds. Now look back at that link again. There are 6 personnel listed - 3 are male and 3 are female (going by their appearance and name), then 2 are ethnic minority (by name and appearance). Thus not representative of the 84.6% males and 96.5% non-ethnic minority individuals that serve.

So, in total, that is 16 males and 11 females - which is 59% male and 41% female. Now seeing as there are 84.6% male and 15.4% female, then how does that happen? Going on previous form it is likely to be positive discrimination! Then they wonder why only 18% have any form of trust left in the Senior Leadership since Wiggy has been in charge - a snippet from the latest AFCAS 2023.
It’s obviously a coincidence that 15.4% and 3.5% adds up to 18.9%…
