Having recently returned from a tour of South Africa (usual things, safari, battlefields, wine route etc) I wouldn't get too carried away about putting more concrete down etc here in the UK. The country cannot produce enough electricity to keep the lights on for 24 hrs a day, so they have what is called load shedding where parts of the country have two hour blackouts (you are given a warning), so hotels etc rely on generators. Eighty one percent of the electricity is produced from coal which is transported by diesel trucks from the coal mine to the power stations. Electric cars and charging points are almost non existant as a local guide said what is the point when we cannot keep the lights on!
May I suggest that most of the population care more about having a job and putting food on the table. Unleaded petrol and diesel about £1 a litre.
The two internal flights by CEMair were excellent - Dash 8 and CRJ900.
