The Dart and the 30 minute travel time from London would be a lure but that is where it ends. Some would say the terminal has the appeal of a turd in a swimming pool but I would say that is being a little harsh. Certainly during less busy periods the airport is adequate as long as it isn’t raining. Visually, the inside of the terminal is a mess.
So what is stopping other carriers coming to Luton? Well I can think of 3. If another airline makes a success out of a new route then there are 3 potential poachers. I am surprised ELAL stayed around but ELAL is a unique carrier with its own fan base.
