May I add I bought my first property in Luton in 1981 near the water tower off Tennyson Road, I bought off someone employed by Britannia Airways and both neighbours were employed at the airport. Did consider Wigmore Estate, the Agent correctly identified airport noise might be an issue. At the time the Wigmore Pavilon and open space were a rundown disgrace.
Some fantastic days spent with neighbours in Memorial Park and Stockward Park which are mixed usage areas.
I thus bought in full knowledge of what the airport brings - at the time very much reduced rates/council tax.
