Cadets won’t solve the retention issues outside of Mainline, you wont get cadets hanging around at Jetstar or other subs for 30 years. They all want to fly big twins just ask them. They will be leaving before they have even arrived at those subs. If they don’t get what they want, then the same will happen which went on at Rex, a whole wave went to the ME who had reduced minimums.
Retention issues are likely going to be much worse at Alliance, Virgin and Rex. Virgin could fix its retention problems if they actually for once put some effort into crew engagement, that won’t happen while the yanks are in milking the cow mode.
