TUI do not now have the aircraft to go back to DSA sadly,
where they once had a really good place with no competition, and a decent growing market, despite LBA, EMA, and even HUY.

For summer 2024 TUI are expanding in this Region with another based aircraft at EMA.

TUI once (like Jet2 today) had LBA to themselves after Intasun went under, but now TUI Holidays at LBA is a tiny operation, with Jet2 Holidays there as the ''Darlings of the North''.

The IT package holiday has I agree, once more become much more popular than Independent travel.

Without the TUI 737M -10 deliveries that were expected to take over from the 757's a couple of years ago, there are no spare planes right now for TUI to contemplate a DSA base reopening (if it were to happen) so Jet2 and Jet2 Holidays could be poised to strike, but they would be very cautious about DSA affecting their own NCL LBA and EMA bases.

And forget about airlines like Wizz bang ''here today and gone tomorrow'' (Ryanair also fits that bill at times)
