Count yourself very, very fortunate! 19 years ago you would have had someone (a real person! yes, they actually did exist!!) to speak to who would have been able to tell you if your proposed plan included routing through some nasty weather. Nowadays pilots need to work it out for themselves one way or the other and the blame is entirely on them if the weather doesn't turn out as promised.

This graphics stuff is just the Bureau's half-hearted attempt to help, after firing/retiring their briefers years ago.
