Guys, I'm not a pilot (yet), and thus I may be totally wrong...
But if it's only a matter of 1 or 2 degrees Celsius, why not use the Anti-Ice (and take the minor, associated performance penalty), than to risk not using it.
AFAIK, the 773 isn't exactly underpowered, so in most cases it wouldn't lead to an issue.
