I wouldn't take much notice of Hungarian press, MOL is not happy in Hungary after they imposed a windfall tax on Ryanair and he wanted to pass onto customers and reduce routes. It is not the happiest member of the EU on a lot of issues.
With so many HA- aircraft of Wizzair appearing on the 9H- register are they shifting away from their roots (Ok RYR have done similar and Eurowings as well).
Wizzair itself is a network of 1,000 routes in 55 countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Africa, UK is not such a big part of the overall scheme, they are forecasting 67M pax this financial year which has just started.
If they did up sticks and abandon Luton & Gatwick (W6) bases, do you think the slack will be missed for even a couple of days, others will be in like a shot and you would still have the waves of W9 (or W4) aircraft just someone else overnighting.
How many markets do they really need with G- based aircraft, Iceland, Morocco, I don't think they do Gibraltar any more ?
