As far as I’m aware the IAA validation only for U.K. licence holders for 500 hours at FR and then IAA will issue ATPL.
not sure if the IAA are extending that to the whole ICAO ATPL as I think they’re doing it to allow FR some breathing space to crew the U.K. bases whilst everyone gets their licences in order. Basically something FR should have prepared for months and months ago but have only just realised recently.
Bases will be honoured, normally, first preference for FO (even if they try and force you to STN) but the contract states they can base you anywhere they want if they need to….
pay is 50k basic plus extras. 70k if you do 850 hours. Includes your pension, leave, allowances ect
Rumours of a huge pay rise coming as they’re losing FOs at an unseen rate and having to cancel Type Rating courses as most DEPs don’t show up and instead head to DHL, J2, BA & Virgin.
