All HF is done by YBBN via the Australian Flight Information Service, which passes on information to ATC for controlled airspace ops and also offers services for other non controlled airspace users via HF, no direct HF comms is with ATC. HF comms at the Brisbane end is done without selcall so the operator is listening to the frequencies without any squelch.
