Unbelievable .
To think they would land at Bulolo and not be watched. There is a thousand eyes watching you everywhere in PNG. And despite all the problems in PNG with corruption and poor living conditions, some members of the PNG Constabulary are exceptional and dedicated.
Bulolo is one of those airstrips where weather can be a major factor; so possibly the druggies had some prior info on how and when best to try a Bulolo landing. Well done PNG Police. [one of their mob took K100 of me for a minor traffic issue in POM the other day; that's life!]
TV reports are suggesting the aircraft was 'unregistered' and 'borrowed'; read what you like into that ...
