shouldn't Germany wait for another chopper?
Wouldnt the best replacement for the troubled Tiger be another armored purpose built bird, and not a side-by-side utility bird? Leonardo is developing the AW249, successor to the A-129 family. Maybe sensors, and not Apache-level armor and speed isn't as paramount to European armies these days, who knows. Could they also wait for the winner of the FARA competition (Bell 360 v Sikorsky Raider X) to have a whole new generation of abilities?
