ps. Don’t say why I am trying to leave. I agree the U.S. legacies pay the best but it’s not about the money for me. I have a lot of family in Dubai and Middle East and would be nice to live closer to them.
You would have more time to visit them jumpseating out there for free (an unheard of concept out there) on 15+ days off a month as a line holding legacy pilot in the US getting paid twice as much flying the guppy than you would living and flying in out of DXB unless your family lived in Dubai proper….I’m hardly kidding. I still remember my last roster at EK before escaping back to the US…9 days off that month, mixture of Ultra Long haul, Medium haul and ultra short turnarounds with a majority of showtimes just after midnight! Barely enough time to recover before that little silver Volvo sedan is there to pick you up again.
