EASA - Eurowings - Does it matter which country ATPL and Medical were issued?

Hi all,

I am still early in my flight training journey (PPL stage), but am looking at what job options there are out there for when I am fully qualified and able to apply for airline jobs.

There is a job advert on the Eurowings website, but interestingly states a requirement for the ATPLs and Medical to be issued in Germany. I was under the impression that ATPLs/Medical/licences in general issued by one EASA member state were recognised and valid in all EASA states, and it therefore doesn't matter which EASA country one obtains their licences, as, assuming EU residence/working rights, one can apply and work across EASA countries with a licence issued from any EASA country.

Therefore, how can Eurowings specify German issued?

Note. I can't post a link as PPRuNe won't let me post a URL as this is my first post, but the job is on the Eurowings jobs website.
