If you only hold a UK issued Licence, Medical and Type Rating ... Don't bother to apply.

I'm sorry but that interpretation is a little silly

It's no different to requiring a type rating/ certain amount of experience etc.
it's not the norm, but there have always been flying jobs based in the UK that required a foreign licence.
Such as N reg business jets etc.
