Good to know I'm not the only one using Linux + Firefox and able to a nice pic of a Mooney at Busselton (reminds me there's sunshine somewhere in the world!).
As you have suggested I almost exclusively browse in private mode and regularly clear out cookies etc. I don't disable extensions however and on the odd occasion I've looked at the site I've never had any issues.
Pleasingly the site is intuitive to use, and
doesn't require holding down the control key to zoom with the mouse wheel
